This week we began our 22nd year of service to our clients and our community. It has been an amazing journey so far, and, in spite of the current crisis all of us are facing, I am extremely optimistic about the future.

I started my business 22 years ago with no business plan, no staff, no office, and no money. However, I had one client, and, more importantly, I had the purpose and passion to serve them well. In those very early days, and this has not changed, I was determined to always do what I said I was going to do, and do everything I could to exceed my client’s expectations.

Looking back, sticking to those foundational principles of Integrity and Service is the singular reason we have had the opportunity to serve over 216 clients, in virtually every industry, in such a wide variety of ways.

We have, like every business, faced many obstacles. Economic downturns, client mergers, unexpected turnover, and the list goes on. However, in the face of those obstacles we always asked the right question. What is the right thing to do, to ensure that we exceed our client’s expectations?

Prosperity leads to opportunity, so we took advantage of both and formed The Giving Back Foundation many years ago. Through the foundation, we have been able to translate our passion to serve into service to our community. This has been the most enjoyable part of our journey so far, and we continue to actively seek ways to do even more.

I am hopeful that these words will help readers, especially in the midst of these unprecedented times, look for ways to serve others. It may be an employee, a client, a neighbor who has been laid off, a non-profit that needs your financial support; it really doesn’t matter. You will find, when you purposely serve those who need you, that your hope and optimism will strengthen.
